WHAT THEY DID TO PUSH LOVE AWAY

WABB LAB – LOVE – DAY 5

Sometimes love ends because of repetition, not drama.

The exercise

Write a scene where a character realises:
I pushed too hard. I waited too long. I didn’t listen.

What to write

Show:

  • one behaviour that kept repeating
  • how the other person responded to it
  • the moment the character sees it clearly

The other person may or may not be present.

Rules

  • No self-justification
  • No apology

Tip

Image the situation in your head like you are watching a movie.

If you have enough time, you can write a series of memories that led up to this moment.
