HOW WE MET

WABB LAB – LOVE – DAY 6

Don’t we all swoon over a couple telling the story of how they met? Open our hearts with your characters memories of how it all began.

The exercise

Write a dialogue between two people talking about how they met.

You may write:

  • only dialogue
  • no descriptions
  • no stage directions

Everything, age, setting, history, tone, must come through in speech alone. Think about different way you could let your audience know how old these people are if there was only audio.

What to write

Include:

  • disagreement about details
  • a correction
  • something remembered differently

Rules

  • Dialogue only
  • No explanations
  • Let the voices do the work

Tip
Think about how love sounds when people talk, without using the actual word love, how do people show affection when they don’t say it?
